Story Of David : My Favourite Bible Story

Before I share this, I'd just like to get something off my chest so that I can speak with a free spirit. For almost 27 years, I've listened to a multitude of people tell me about what my life should be and who I should be based on what they know. I would like to inform you all that nobody knows me better than me and unfortunately nobody in the world is harder then me then I am on myself. Therefore as inspiring as your rants might be, without them being expressed with the genuine love and compassion of a friend or loved one, all you are is a simple loud buzz in my ear that tries to spread across disdain from your high horse. Fortunately for me, God directs my path and he sits a little higher then you do.
That being said, I love the story of David and Bathsheba. People love to use David as a reference of a hero, a warrior, a man after God's heart, and rightfully so. But I love to remember David as a resilient man drawn into redemption. Can you imagine a pastor in today's day, spying on a man's wife from his roof while she bathes, sending for that man's wife, sleeping with her, getting her pregnant, getting her husband home from the war to get him drunk so that he can sleep with her to pass off the unborn baby as his child and then when that doesn't work setting the man up to be killed. Then for the cherry on top of the sundae, he marries the man's widow. We would've already nailed that pastor to the cross.
When I look at the type of plunge down a hill David took, personally I would tell myself, somewhere between the pregnancy and killing the woman's husband something would've clicked in my head. Nonetheless David's story went all the way through to the point where the prophet came by and had to highlight his own fault to him. While we're on prophets, let me just mention that prophetic gifts come from heaven, I fully believe in that. But when you call yourself a prophet, that does not give you the right to come and tell me what it is you think and pass it off to me as a prophecy, and if nothing in your prophecy has anything biblical or spiritual tied to it, you might as well be buzzing in my ears like the people I referred to earlier.
Anyways, coming back on track, somebody out there is in a horrible place that they have placed themselves in. I want to tell you today that David knew that even if he made his bed in hell God would be there for him. Today no matter where you are, you need to understand that out of all of David's indiscretion came forgiveness for his sins, and from the union that came about through David's indiscretions came King Solomon the wisest man on earth and also came Jesus Christ the Savior of this world, so just remember that God can perfect any situation that concerns you no matter what it is. You are never too far away from the outstretched arms of God, no matter what anyone else has to say to you.
Have yourselves a blessed day in the Lord.
